Kshitij Maheshwari

Conference Co-Chair

I grew up near New Delhi, India. Post bachelors at the Indian Institute of Technology, I worked as a management consultant focusing on digital transformation and strategic operations across sectors. I have been passionate about digital equity which recently led me to work in Indian telecommunications as a strategist, creating data solutions for small businesses.

Mahlaqa Kamran

Conference Co-Chair

I was born and raised in Pakistan, living across multiple cities like Karachi, Lahore, and Islamabad. After graduating with a degree in Economics and Mathematics, I joined McKinsey as a consultant. I was with McKinsey for 3 years prior to HBS, primarily helping public and private sector clients develop strategies for growth. My interest in tech stems from my desire to have positive impact at scale, and I am looking forward to meet you all at the conference.

Sotiris Baratsas

Conference Co-Chair

I come from Athens, Greece and most recently worked as a Product Manager at Mastercard in New York and as a Management Consultant at McKinsey & Company in Greece, serving clients on Strategy, Digital, Operations and Transformation in the Industrial, Energy and Financial Services sectors. I deeply believe that Technology can be a force for good in the world and look forward to bringing together talented people as part of the Tech Conference to talk about creating an exciting future while navigating the current uncertainty in Tech.

 

Alisha Bhanji

Co-Director of AI/ML

Born in Kenya and grew up in Canada. I graduated from the University of Waterloo with a degree in Nanotechnology Engineering. Waterloo had a great coop program so I got work experience at Apple and NASA as well as research experience at Harvard and MIT before graduating. After undergrad, I worked on my own tech startup, Scope Photonics, to develop novel camera technology for the smartphone industry. Most recently, I spent a year in tech private equity, learning about how to deploy capital to software enabled businesses. I'm excited to learn about how AI can help us solve society's most pressing problems and generally improve our quality of life.

 

Michelle Hu

Co-Director of Careers in Tech: Investors Track

I was born in and grew up in the suburbs of Chicago, and I graduated from Harvard College with a degree in Applied Mathematics and Economics. After graduating, I worked at JP Morgan in their financial Institutions group assisting companies with strategic alternatives, financing, and M&A transactions. Afterwards, I moved to Insight Partners on their technology investment team, where I worked with founders across early and late stage enterprise software, marketplaces, healthtech and fintech companies. In my free time, I am involved with non-profits focused on financial literacy and small business entrepreneurship, and I am excited by promoting diversity and equal opportunity in the investing industry.

 

Matt Thompson

Director of EdTech

I was born and raised in Ann Arbor, MI. I graduated from the United States Military Academy at West Point with a degree in computer science. After graduation, I commissioned as an infantry officer in the U.S. Army. I served as a platoon leader in the 173rd Airborne Brigade in Vicenza, Italy, and as a company commander in the 3rd Cavalry Regiment at Fort Hood, TX. I’m interested in how technology can help democratize and individualize education.

 

Michael Barclift

Director of Climate Tech & Touch Tech

Previously served as a mechanical engineer at GE with 6 years of experience focused on 3D Printing. I have 4 publications on additive manufacturing and have been cited in over 200+ academic papers. Prior to GE, I was a graduate researcher at Penn State University. We are entering an era where the advancement of "Deep Tech" will play a critical role in addressing the world's most pressing challenges in the development of Space, Aviation, Clean Energy, and Manufacturing. I'm excited for what the future holds.

 

Michael Shao

Co-Director of AI/ML

I grew up in Michigan and studied Applied Math / Economics at Harvard College. Prior to HBS, I spent 4 years in New York City as a tech investment banker and, more recently, a software growth investor covering AI, cybersecurity, DevOps, and IoT/Telematics. My fascination with technology stems from its relentless drive for innovation and its profound ability to craft new tools for society. I'm particularly captivated by the transformative potential of AI and its unprecedented scalability which will inevitably redefine our world in the foreseeable future.

 

Manan Patel

Co-Director of Careers in Tech: Operators/Big Tech Track

Born in India, raised in Toronto, Canada! I graduated from the University of Waterloo with a degree in Mechatronics Engineering. Immediately after college, I spent 5 years at Apple and Meta working to bring consumer electronics to the market! My experience has allowed me to develop a deep understanding of how large tech companies bring products to market at a massive scale!

 

Weronika Zareba

Director of Women in Tech

I was born and raised in Poland. I have a degreee in computer science and econometrics and for my whole professional career I was an analyst. For the past 4 years I worked in marketing technology at Google. Currently I pursue Masters Degree in sustainability on Harvard Extension School. I'm passionate about equal opportunieties and personal development, so during Tech Conference I will run the Woman in Tech to promote idea of a career change and discuss current challenges in the industry.

 

Abhishek Krishnan

Co-Director Logistics & Operations

I was born and raised across six different cities in India. I studied Commerce at Shri Ram College of Commerce, Delhi followed by a post-graduate degree in liberal arts at Ashoka University. I’ve applied my education to a career focused on strategy and innovation. After starting my career at Goldman Sachs, I switched to work as a management consultant at BCG for ~2.5 years. Before HBS, I worked as Chief of Staff at Pixxel – India’s first private satellite company where we launched two of the world’s most advanced satellites in orbit in 2022. I am particularly fascinated by frontier technologies born out of emerging markets and their impact on the future of the planet.

Arianna Camacho

Director of FinTech

I grew up in San José, Costa Rica and studied Psychology at Harvard College, where I focused on studying the science of decision making. After college, I worked as a consultant at McKinsey & Company in Latin America, focused mostly on digital transformations and digital product development in the financial services sector. Prior to HBS, I also worked as a Strategy and Operations Manager at Laboratoria, a non-profit ed-tech that seeks to empower Latin American women with tech skills. I am very interested in the role tech can play to bridge divides, reduce inequalities, and overall generate a positive impact.

 

Maximilian Prokopp

Co-Director of Careers in Tech: Founders Track

I come from Munich, Germany, where I studied management and was producing in the movie business for several years. Seeking innovation, I started co-building TUM.ai, a non-profit with the vision to make AI more accessible, which grew into Germany‘s largest student initiative around AI. Simultaneously I joined the CDTM, Germany’s leading program for entrepreneurs. Currently I am a visiting fellow at HBS, studying and supporting research to push human creativity enabled by AI. I am excited about how AI can make education more accessible, which I will explore after HBS.

 

Subham Rajgaria

Director of Tech in Emerging Markets

I grew up in Kolkata, India. Post Bachelors at the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, I worked as a management consultant at McKinsey and Company focusing on cost optimization and digitization initiatives at large conglomerates. However, the passion towards technology, startups and investing led me to switch careers to WestBridge Capital, a $8.5B crossover fund, wherein I majorly focused on technology investing.

 

Helen He

Co-Director Logistics & Operations

I grew up in Shanghai, China before moving to Canada when I was 10. Prior to HBS, I worked in financial services consulting, focusing on how fintechs disrupt traditional financial systems. Most recently, I worked in Strategy & Operations at DoorDash, focusing on homepage optimization. I'm particularly fascinated by how technology influence consumer behaviours, and how companies adapt based on changing preferences.

Sanchie Shroff

Director of B2B SaaS

Born and brought up in India, I graduated from Shri Ram College of Commerce (SRCC) in 2018. My pervious experiences include working as a Consultant at McKinsey & Co. and as an Investment Associate focussed on SaaS, ConsumerTech and FinTech companies at WestBridge Capital ($8.5B crossover fund) and SoftBank (largest tech focussed VC with $140B+ AuM).

 

Isabella Anastassof

Director of Consumer Tech

I was born and raised in Chicago and graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a triple concentration in Statistics, Finance, and Marketing. Prior to HBS, I worked as a consultant at McKinsey & Company with a primary focus on growth strategy transformations. I also worked in strategy and operations on the general management team of DoorDash's grocery business. I am excited by the rapid evolution of technology in e-commerce and consumer tech that transforms how consumers purchase goods online and live more connected lives. I am excited to unpack these trends in our panel discussions.

 

Arpit Garg

Director of Media & Entertainment

Born and raised in India, I came to the US in 2012 for undergrad at Rice University (Texas). Graduated with a dual degree in Mechanical Engineering and Ecnomics in 2016 after which I worked as a Consultant at Bain for 2 years. After that, moved to the Bay Area to Join YouTube where I was for ~5 years on their Strategy Team and as a Product Manager. At YouTube, got to work on content strategy, music subscriptions, virtual events, and creator monetization
